Today is the beginning of my Guitar learning journey.
I have always wanted to play guitar but never got around to it. I even bought one once but then had to sell it for bills. But things are going better so I just went and got this guitar, the Rogue 90, off the internet for around 50 bucks. Of course, I would eventually like some super sparkly $10,000 Martin, Collings, or Taylor guitar someday, but since I am not even sure if I will stick with it I didn’t want to start by dishing all that out at the start. This Rogue has surprisingly decent sound for a guitar at this price. My only frustration is that it doesn’t always stay in tune. Still it’s a great start. And I am super excited to start learning may basic chords and scales so I can move on to start making music. I think I might even film my progress over the next year just to see the difference from how I started at the beginning. Let’s see if this 39 year old dog can pick up new tricks.
The way I see it is it’s an excellent way to be alone with my thoughts and God but it’s a great way to share a piece of myself with the world. Who knows maybe I’ll get good enough to write some powerful song on it.
Do any of you play Guitar? What has your experience been so far?
